Injuries to the Elderly

En Espanol

Our Senior Citizens are our nation’s most valuable asset. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience. They are our adoring grandmothers, grandfathers, relatives, in-laws, neighbors and friends. Here in the United States we have an ageing population due to better health care which has led to increased life expectancy.

While our advancing years brings more wisdom and experience, it also has some downside. Older people who sustain injury are more likely to have a permanent problem. One that can affect them for the remainder of their life. Also, when an older person does sustain an accidental injury, that injury will many times complicate (and make worse) other health problems such high blood pressure (hypertension). There are also some conditions, such as diabetes, which make it more difficult for an older person to heal from their injuries.

Of course, older people sustain injuries the same way as any other person, including: car accident, slip and fall, or on the job injury. The difference is that the injury is usually more severe and complicated because of the person’s age and the pre-condition of their body. Therefore, an older person may require specialized medical attention, or more therapy and treatment than usual.

We at the Williams Law Firm, and Attorney Elton Willilams, understand the concerns of our Senior Citizens, and how injury effects their lives. If you are an elderly person who has been injured, we are happy to meet with you at no charge to see if we can help you. If you are unable to travel or do not have transportation we can arrange to have you transported to our office, or if you prefer, we can meet you in your home. Please do not hesitate to call us. If you call after business hours we have a 24hour live operator who will take a message from you, contact the attorney, and see that your phone call is promptly returned.

Our toll free number is 1-800-385-5565 or contact us online. We look forward to helping you and giving you legal advice about your rights.
